From the 25 May 2018, the new European Privacy reform has automatically become effective. The European Legislator (issuing the EU Regulation 2016/679, called “General Data Protection Regulation” – GDPR) has intended to “solicit” professionals / public bodies and companies to adopt “proactive awareness” of their professional / business processes. In other words, the owners are aimed at carrying out a prior analysis of their activity, assessing any conflict with the legislation here and, therefore, a predisposing procedure for the expected treatment.
In some cases, also, has been in charge a Data Privacy Officer (DPO) by the company with the duty to control the application of the regulation, as well as, sensitizing collaborators to the subject also through training activities.
Failure to comply is sanctioned with high pecuniary sanctions.
